More than ever, an evolution in our thinking and action is needed.

Africa’s wisdom leaders can bring to the fore our African culture and heritage to one of heart-centeredness and wholeness. The dominant mindset of western thought leadership has offered some valuable contributions as well as creating vast damage structurally, psychologically and economically. It has privileged a worldview that has negated key ingredients that are essential for what takes for us to fully human.

Rather than supplying or consuming what is served, Africa’s growth requires us to dig deep into that which brings us together. This conference is here to explore what thought leaders from Africa are enacting to create a common, integrated approach to practically address the challenges of our time. The goal: creating integrated solutions to common challenges that can be implemented in the fields of health, education, religion, psychology, business, arts, science, politics and spirituality.

You will do through meeting each other, having THE conversations that need to be had, shifting the edge of awareness, accessing global thought leaders, or sitting in quiet contemplative space. We first need to truly meet our self- before we can truly meet another! You are the key ingredient to activate this space, to challenge and learn from leaders of theory and practice from all nations while focusing on creating the platform for a truly African embodied contribution.

Why you need to be here

In a post-truth reality – it is essential that leaders and practitioners who are willing to ‘wake up, grow up, clean up and show up’ (Wilber) need to step forward to join hands with others who are stepping up to do the same. Emerging our African philosophy – Ubuntu Botho – into a way of being for all to learn from is essential for what it can offer the world! Our deepest roots of ‘beingness’ live in space of real connection, where the worth of self is nothing if not seen as inexorably intertwined with another.

Maintain Engagement

The conference, integral gatherings and communities are there to support your work through practice, critical thinking, reflection, and ‘being’. Held in the embrace of compassion and courage, our common motivation is to ‘do become more fully human’ by understanding our gold and our shadows and so enabling leaders to not repeat what did not work, from fear or self-interest towards a much more informed, embodied and conscious space.

Dr Ndzwayiba was born and bred in Umtata in the Eastern Cape. Professionally, Dr Ndzwayiba has more than 13 years’ working experience in the field of Human Capital Development, Organizational Transformation and Change, and Corporate Diversity/Inclusion.

Rica Viljoen

Dr Rica Viljoen’s model on Inclusivity, in her doctorate thesis, was acknowledged as one of the 10 most promising contribution to the field of Management, Spirituality and Religion by the Academy of Management. She expresses the passion of ensuring that untold stories find their way into mainstream publications.

Paddy Pampallis

Dr Paddy Pampallis is the Founder Director of The Integral Africa Institute and The (Integral Africa) Coaching Centre (TCC) and Ubuntu Coaching Foundation that serves to bring Integral thinking and solutions to individual, organizational and community life. Her mission is to find ways to ‘being fully human’ more skillfully.

Vusi M Vilakati

Vusi Vilakati is an African consciousness and leadership development scholar and practitioner. He is passionate about the intersections between identity, located-ness or positionality, and context in the facilitation and embodiment of African spiritual consciousness, values and practices.

Jay Naidoo

Is a freedom fighter with a longstanding history of social justice activism. He was the General Secretary of the Congress of South African Trade Unions and served as a Minister in President Nelson Mandela’s Cabinet. He has championed the cause of the vulnerable globally and served in a number of United Nations and other international committees.

Bence Ganti

Bence Ganti, M.A. integral psychologist and clinical psychologist, the co-founder and director of the Integral European Conferences (IEC) since 2014. He is also the founder and director of one of Europe’s most successful long-term integral adult education institutes, the Integral Academy in Hungary.

Susanne Cook-Greuter

Susanne Cook Greuter is an internationally acknowledged authority on adult ego-development and self-realization. She learned Language Studies and Pedagogy at Zürich University and Human Development and Psychology at Harvard and Cambridge Universities.

Dr Laubscher has spent her lifetime applying, explaining, teaching and researching the thinking that produced the thesis – Human Niches Spiral Dynamics for Africa. She has explored and described the core intelligences and deep thinking systems that flow beneath our belief systems.

Adriano Campolina

Adriano is the Chief Executive/Secretary General of ActionAid International and has been working on the civil society leading human rights-based development programmes and campaigns for the past 22 years. He is an agronomist with Masters in Agriculture, Society & Development from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro.

Dumi Magadlela

Dumi is a certified international executive and leadership coach. He works mainly across the African continent as an African skills development practitioner and a leadership skills development facilitator. He is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Henk van Zyl

Henk van Zyl worked as HR professional for 36 years. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in Employee Relations at company and bargaining council level. His interest and passion for employee relations resulted in developing and implementing an advanced ER co-determination model.

Darrell Gooden

Darrell Gooden, has over 20 years experience applying knowledge engineering and designing strategic communications campaigns. He has a proven ability to lead diverse teams, which enables him to engage all levels in an organization. In addition to being a certified Adizes Associate he is a certified Spiral Dynamics Integral expert.
